He Never Gives Up

Visiting the rudiments of the past,
Nothing really seem to last.
Events and objects of significance,
Degrade to that of nonchalance.

Life’s like a long winding road,
With boulders and bends to unfold.
Often we stumble and we fall,
Get trapped and ignore God’s call.

Time and again we fall prey to myopia,
Governed by the existing paralyzing fear.
Often failing to see beyond the pain,
Losing sight of the glory God has ordained.

Fortunately, our God never slumbers,
His children to satan He never surrenders.
By His Word it is certain,
In His character we can be confident.

Patiently He waits by the door,
Till our strength can sustain no more.
Cast unto God our burdens and fears,
He will carry and comfort us through the tears.

Through it all, He never gives up,
In His children, He never loses heart.
He remains the loving Heavenly Father,
Yesterday, today and forever…

:: Thoughts :: Reflections ::
How true it is that more often than not in life, we lose sight of life eternal and God’s calling. We try to grab hold of what is transient and temporal, only to realize what a grave mistake we’ve made when our world comes crashing down. Through my walk with God, I’ve come to realize that He is the safest refuge and solace I can ever find. Despite the abominable things I’ve done, He has never deserted me though sometimes it feels as though He has. He’s always waiting for me to find my way home to Him…
